Project Description
FoodAdvisor is a mobile app for users to navigate dining places and doing social activities based on interests in food.
Many people today cannot find people to eat and order food together, or feel stressed to find an appropriate dining place. By using this app, users could have a better dining experience and solve these problems easily.
Main Features
Navigating Food Features ---- Search
In this function, users can enter different search keywords on food to eat, like food type, restaurants, etc.

Advanced Search

There is a survey for users to take and food places generated as results based on the survey. It is especially convenient for travelers who are not familiar with dining places in a foreign country.

Social Features ---- Find Friends
This is a function for users to seek buddies to eat and order food together with.
Real Time: Users can find people to eat together with at the current time. They can interact with friends they have added or match new friends.
Future Time: The same function as the Real Time, but the time setting is a future time.
Order Together: For people in a common area like in the same company, they can order food delivery from a restaurant together. This is beneficial for people who want to order from restaurants to have a minimum for food deliveries. time.

Design Process
IDEATION
Nowadays, there is a huge variety of dining options in different places around the world. Even being around the neighborhood, sometimes we have no idea what to have for lunch/dinner. Also, we don't want to have meals alone in restaurants when people sit around the table and enjoy eating with their families/friends. An app that helps to navigate dining options would be useful to a wide range of audiences and the social features in the app would be desirable too.
RESEARCH
Since the app has 2 major features of navigating dining options and socializing with friends, existing applications offering navigation services and social media are used as inspirations (e.g., Yelp, Google Map, Wechat, Spotify).
